It is important for
health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and
physically because as guide for others we needs to set the example to others
and have an integral health in order to promote integral health to others. The areas that I need to develop to achieve
the goals for myself are: body, mind, spirit and soul.
Body I need to reach a healthy life so I can approach to
my main goal of having health and condition to work out. Mind; I need to control my mind in order to
control my body and consequently reach my main goal which is have a balance and
integral health. Spirit; I need to meditate more in order to have the balance
that I need in my life. Soul; I need to have the passion to live a healthy life
and promote the integral health to others by setting an example of the benefits
that comes with it.
I score my wellness spiritually by meditation and prayer.
When I am meditating I can feel the connection with God. Physically; I am
currently fighting my sickness with exercise and physical activity such as
walking and eating healthy.
Psychologically; Adapting my new life to a balance in all areas make me
feel that I am doing what I am suppose to do in order to have a better life. A
healthy and balanced life bring so much power to do things that I never knew I
was able to do, such it is meditating and controlling my body. I have always
had limits that didn’t allow me to do things, but now I believe that I have the
power to control my mind, body and have a better spiritual life.
My spiritual goal is to become a better person in order
to help others. Being a better youth leader and spiritual guide; who is an
example and is reliable. My physical goal is to run a marathon by next year and
support all the cancer survivors by overcoming my physical impediments. My
psychological goal is to overcome my weaknesses by practicing self-healing and
wellness.
My strategy to implement a foster growth in my physical
life is starting by working out more and having an exercise plan where my diet
and exercise plan trained me to have a better physical performance to
accomplish my goal of running a marathon for next year relay for life. Two examples
will be: Running every morning after having my meditation time and having a strict
diet in order to detox my body and have a more energy. My strategy to implement an foster growth in
my spiritual goal will be having a specific time where I take a time for meditation
and get away from distraction and pray to God to make me better person in order
to become a good youth leader, to provide me with strength and patience to deal
with them and help them better. Two
examples will be meditation every morning when my kids are sleeping so I can
have a “me time only”. The second
example will be praying and reading the bible; to me reading the bible and
paying I can establish a better relationship with God. The strategy to implement a foster growth in
my psychological goal is to obtain the authority of my mind and body in order
to complete my goal and consequently I know for a fact that I will feel
motivated and satisfy that I am having a productive life where I am going to be
showing my new integral and balanced life. Two examples will be: Seeking for therapy so I
can let go the pain that I have and prevent me from having a better
psychological health. The second example
will be allowing myself to change without having the guilt feeling that prevent
me to do much of the goals that I have. I need to work on letting myself to
feel free from the sicknesses and the cancer side effects.
The way I will assess my progress will be my having a
chart of progress and I will monitoring each day in order to have a track of my
results in a six months time. At the same time this chart of progress will
allow me to see in what areas I am having a lack of progress and who I can
manage the time and stress in order to be successful in all areas. The strategy that I will used to assist maintaining
my long term practices and health and wellness goal is to establish a immediate-
goal, a mid-term goal and a long-term goal. For stances, I will have the sense
of completing goals when I accomplish each goal and I will be motivate to overcome
my own goals in the track to the long-term goal of having a balance and
integral health.

ReplyDeleteGreat job on your post. Eventually you will able to control your mind and body; it will take time, but you can do it. I think using a chart to monitor your dad to day progress is a great idea. I myself have been using a journal, but anything will work. I am glad that you listed goals as what you need to do to accomplish what you need to fix, but first you need to start out small and work your way up. Do not start out big because you have a greater chance of giving up.
Aglay,
ReplyDeleteI am like you I am of need of exercise also. If we keep our chart or journal to helps us we will surely make progress in our lives. We are all so busy with the day to day chores we forget to take time for ourselves. As we grow with our exercise and prayers we will succeed in our health and wellness.
It truly warms my heart to read the wonderful advances that so many of us have made throughout this class. As I intend to continue practicing meditation and other spiritual practices regarding complete health and wellness I have discovered I hope you and many of our fellow students do as well. The progress I have made over the last several weeks has been both enlightening and encouraging. I can’t wait to see how far I can take this knowledge and hope many of you feel the same way. Great job on the final project and good luck in the future.

Hello! Your plan is good, and I have to also agree with Jay. It is genuinely really exciting to see how people have come into tune with different facets of themselves and their welness through out the time shared in this course. We all have areas where we could spend some time improving, but the important thing is not that we fix everything in a day or even in a few months, but that we acknowledge that it IS a process and it will involve work and trial and error. As with boosting up the amount of exercise you do, what has always worked for me is to start with small changes like walking instead of driving and then slowly looking to find an activity you enjoy. Eventually, if you follow what you enjoy, it will become a life long good habit. Good luck to you!
